| Proper Opportunities | | | Dear Editor,
To ensure proper opportunities to all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh a uniform industrial Policy should be framed. Simultaneously Transport which is the backbone of J&K State economy must also have a realistic policy just like several Eastern States. Most of the well-to-do and well-known industrialists are dissatisfied with the inadequate incentives available in the State including necessary electricity and raw material, although several entrepreneurs have specially been invited by our prominent State Leaders. Even now young Chief Minister has called upon Indian industrialists to set up their popular industries in the State and become a strong base of employment for a number of educated and uneducated youth of the State. Since these industrial houses are not satisfied and their outputs are also scanty, they are not able to absorbe good number of employed youth of the State. Similarly these industrialists are also not in a position to give sufficient emoluments and related incentives to their employees. Very recently, even unemployed Diploma and Degree Engineers were paid a meager Salarly of 2500 by some industrial institutions, while this amount does not cover up even the two-way matador-fare for the employees. Transport and traffic policy also needs a sea change for revolutionary social and road safety results.
