| Harassment of Sikh Youth strongly condemned | | | Shadow correspondent
JAMMU, JULY 29: Deshmesh Youth Organization (DYO) Jammu and Kashmir , Jammu and Kashmir United Sikh Forum (JKUSF) have condemned the recent act by some miscreants belonging to majority community by cutting the hair of a Sikh youth in Tral area after he refused to shout anti India slogan. In a press conference held here on Thursday, JKUSF has termed the act against the principles of Kashmiriyat and age old brotherhood of valley. Chairman JKUSF- S. Sudershan Singh Wazir urged upon Chief Minister to intervene into the matter and ensure safety of Sikh community living all across the valley.
President Jammu United Secular Forum-S. Avtar Singh Khalsa while condemning the act, urged upon the intelligentsia of Kashmir to come forward and weed out such elements.
S. Mohinder Singh and S paramjeet Singh also spoke on the occasion. Present included Ramnik Singh Bijral, S. Kultar Singh, S. Surinder Singh Kala, S. Gajan Singh, S. Kulwant Singh, S. Harjeet Singh and others.
Meanwhile Deshmesh Youth Organization J&K (DYOJK) while condemning the act as blot on the age old ethics said that all local, national and religious parties should stand against such elements without politicizing it.
They activists of DYOJK protested the act and urged upon the government to take immediate action against the culprits. Those who took part in the protest included Manmohan singh, Gurdiyal Singh, Amarjeet Singh, Karqmjeet Sigh, Kuldeep Singh and others |
