Jammu leaders should keep in mind future: Lal Singh

Shadow Correspondent
Ex-Minister for Forest Choudhary Lal Singh expressed dismay over the manner in which state government has been continuing with the policy of discrimination with Jammu region by refusing to order CBI inquiry into the Rasana case.
“You have to recommend a CBI probe into the Rasana case. You have very limited options before you. It seems that the administrative set-up in Jammu region is not letting the government know ground reality. Even I am surprised at the kind of response that I am getting from the people of Jammu region. Hundreds of youngsters gather to hear me out what I say about Rasana case. They ask me when is the next Maha Swabhiman Rally? Is this government not for people of Jammu region,” said Choudhary Lal Singh while addressing gatherings in Naran, Balooni, Khanpur, Chan Lal Din and Mathre chak areas Kathua and Samba Districts.
Stating that Rasana case would go to CBI, Choudhary Lal Singh said that those who call themselves leaders of Jammu region have gone into hibernation or others are planning to take a long sabbatical. “People are keeping an eye on your statements. They are watching everything.
Jammu leaders….
They would not spare you if you continue with your silence. You have to speak up today or tomorrow you would become part of the history. Jammu region would remember you for deceit and betrayal,” said Choudhary Lal Singh while adding that he would not relax till a CBI probe is not ordered.
Choudhary Lal Singh said “Those who call themselves activists should first some basic manners and then talk about activism. Their language is communal and they are out to divide the society. Their credentials speak in volumes about their honesty and integrity. But let me assure them that we would resist all their efforts to divide the society. The 8 year old Goddess from Rasana has united entire Dogra community. We have forgotten who we are. We are just Dogras and we have no other identity. They have hurt our honour and we won’t let them repeat what they have done.”

“Those among us who have lost the hope should be sure that the CBI inquiry would be recommended if not today but tomorrow. This Jan Andolan is all about Swabhiman of Jammu region and the people of this region. I am making all efforts to unite people of Jammu region. I am sure, this time; we will not let anyone sell us for their petty gains. We have to stay united and have a firm belief that a CBI inquiry would be ordered,” said Choudhary Lal Singh.

“Maha Swabhiman Rally would decide which way Jammu will go. Whether we will remain united and get all our issues resolved would largely depend on the success of the Maha Swabhiman Rally. It will send a strong message to the government that Jammu is united and would not let anyone play with its sentiment anymore. We have tolerated a lot but we won’t let the past mistakes decide our future. I appeal youngsters to remain united and make Maha Swabhiman Rally a success,” said Choudhary Lal Singh. He was accompanied by Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu and several others important members of the civil society of Jammu region.
