Special Olympics Bharat organizes 3-days District Games at Kathua

KATHUA, MAY 08:
To help the specially bled people and provide them opportunity to show their sporting talent, the activists of Special Olympics Bharat Jammu Kashmir organized a 3-days District Games for Kathua at Sports Stadium here.
The Games are being held under the supervision of State president, Special Olympics Bharat Jammu Kashmir, Dr Ashwani Jojra.
The Games were inaugurated by TSO Vishaw Bhandu Sharma from Social Welfare
Department by lighting the traditional lamp.
298 persons with disabilities participated in the 3-daysDistrictGamesand enjoyed the various sports events like BOCEE,50mtrs walk and 100mtrs walk, Softball, Throw Ball and Wheel Chairrace.
The first game was played for BOCEE between Red team and Greenteam, wherein Greenteam represented by Azim, Somraj and Shaahi Bala emerged winner, while In 50mtrs walk, Mohinder Singh gold and Sudesh Kumar claimed silver and in100 mtrs race, Sunny Janotra won gold.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sunil Sharma, Raj Kumar Sharma, Khjoor Singh and Ishwer Shard.
