Srinagar: Five terrorists were gunned down by security forces during an infiltration bid in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri sector on Friday.

According to the Army, three terrorists were killed in Nowgam sector while four others were eliminated in Machhil sector.

A jawan was also killed during the encounter in Nowgam sector.

Infiltration bids were also foiled in Uri and Gurez sectors, the Army said in a statement.
