JAMMU, FEB 16:
As part of the ongoing Special Outreach Campaign launched by the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India through out the country, the Field Publicity launched a two day long Campaign at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Samba. While Inaugura ting the Campaign Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Samba Dr. Davinder Kumar Manyal who was the Chief Guest of the function said that coverage of far flung area through such IEC activities gives a waste spread of Information & awareness among the masses. These Campaigns need to be launched with active coordination and cooperation of district administration and it becomes the responsibility of all the departments to make coordinated approach in reaching out the masses at grass root level. He was of the view that a number schemes for the upliftment of socio-economic conditions of people especially the poor under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narinder Modi have been imitiated.
He also said that schemes launched by the Government of India are now being implemented in a proper way without wastage of time which has proved people friendly.
While addressing a large gathering R. P. Saroj, Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India said that in J&K under Special Outreach Campaign a number of schemes launched by the Government of India are being promoted through their Publicity in remote and far flung areas of the State.
He urged upon the audience to act as ambassadors and message carries so that the information and awareness of these schemes is provided to masses at grass root level. . In his address she informed the audience that from June, 2016 Directorate of Field Publicity has already launched 8 such Campaigns in Budgam, Bhaderwah, Leh, Kalakote, Jagti, Chenani, Atholi, and Nyuma areas of the State
The schemes which are being publicized are Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujwalla Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Social Security Schemes, Skill Development and Digital/ Cashless Transactions besides other schemes were also incorporated in the campaign.
Theme based cultural presentations by Wishwanath & party enthralled the audience with their performances.
